I had some spare time in the afternoon, so I grabbed my camera and went to the city to take some snaps of the new light festival.
This year, the festival is even more widespread throughout Copenhagen, offering a unique opportunity to explore and capture the magic of the lights. I will definitely be making another trip to see what I missed, as one visit just wasn’t enough.
To fully immerse yourself in the experience, I highly recommend downloading the official app from the festival website – https://copenhagenlightfestival.org/. Not only will it help plan your visit, but it also provides recommended walking routes and even a treasure hunt. If you manage to trigger 25 installations on your phone, you’ll receive a reward.
The festival lasts from February 3rd to 26th, so there is plenty of time to check it out. With long and dark February evenings, it’s the perfect time to be mesmerized by the beauty of the lights.
