Roadtrip in Romania: Calnic Citadel

Câlnic Citadel

Calnic Citadel is a UNESCO world heritage site. It was built around 1200 with the intention of being a noble residence. In the XV century it was bought by peasants and turned into a farmer’s castle. It is located right in the city center and is easly accessible from the main road.

Unfortunately we arrived too late and we were not able to see it from inside. We only managed to go around it.
